before i fall too fast. kiss me quick, but make it last. so i can see how badly this will hurt me when you say goodbye. keep it sweet, keep it slow. let the future past, and don't let go. but tonight i could fall too soon into this beautiful moonlight. but you're so hypnotizing. ---------------it had been quite a few months. being taken from her dad and sent to an island to defend for herself had taken a toll on her. especially when the girl didn't know a ratass about camping, hunting, or any type of survival for the wilderness. luckily she had met someone to take her under his wing. if you can say that, but he had taught her a lot, so she was grateful. she wasn't sure how grateful, because she was stuck on this island. how grateful can a person actually be? it was like everyone was bitter, mad, and lonely. lyric herself was pretty bitter, she would admit. it wasn't like her to be such a sarcastic bitch, but her personality had changed with the scary. she was no longer getting her hour hot showers, and shopping on the mainland. no. she was stuck to the clothes she was fortunate to bring and a hot shower? that was out of the question all together. it was tough, that was for sure. if she could go back to the mainland than she would. it was better than being stuck on a island she knew nothing about and didn't know how to get off of. it was a place that was full of mystery, and she wasn't sure she liked that too much. running her fingers through her hair as she stepped out of her hut. the sun was starting to set. no matter how much she hated this place she couldn't deny the spectacular sunsets and rises that it had. she usually like to watch it set, if she wasn't sleep or actually doing something productive with her time. she stuffed her hands into the pockets of her shorts as she strolled along the beach. glancing out into the ocean, but making sure she stayed close enough to the land. her hand moved over her eyes as she seen a figure farther out. her head tilted and her eyes squinted as she tried to see who it was. she couldn't see for sure, but she did manage to move towards him. hoping she knew who was out there, cause it would be a waste of her time. lyric wasn't that kin on strangers, unless she was left alone with them and then she would make it her duty to associate with them. as she got closer to the figure she noticed the longer hair, and she instantly thought of dominic. she wasn't sure she should smile or frown at the thought of seeing him. she knew if she really didn't want to see him she could turn around and go back to her hut, but that wasn't lyric. deep down she was happy he was here. "what are you doing? tanning? cause you're gonna need a lot more time," she smiled, knowing he probably tell her to go away. lyric and dom had an interesting relationship. he didn't want her to be around him, and she never really listened to him. she liked the fact that it was so easier for her to annoy him, so she did it as often as she could. no matter how quiet or unresponsive he was. it was the thought that mattered. she plopped down on the ground, her fingers pushing through the sand. her eyes squinting to look at him, even if the sun was going down, it was still in her eyes. "what are you doing out here? you know my place is over that way," she pointed to her hut that wasn't that far off. she knew she was the last place he would go to, but she liked to tease. "can you put a smile on your face, you and i both know that you really wanted to see me dom." she looked out into the ocean. wondering how long it would take him to tell her to back off. Two months. Dominic had been on this spit of land for two whole months. That wasn't nearly as long as the duration that some of the other island inhabitants had been here for, but it was long enough. Usually Dominic could be a patient man when he wanted to be, but two months of having no control of his situation whatsoever was doing his head in. However, he hid his emotions and thoughts very well, always appearing very calm and collected to the other islanders, only interacting with them when necessary.
Since being captured and transported to the island, Dominic constantly scanned his own memories of the night he was attacked by people in masks who were waiting for him in his apartment. He had put up a good fight, even when they sedated him, but ultimately, he had been outnumbered and the double dose sedative didn't take long to kick in. His last memory after that was him waking up on the jungle floor on the island before staggering out onto the beach where he was confronted by others who had also been brought to the island. Dominic had been a survivor all of his life, so doing what was necessary to insure his survival on the island had not been a problem so far because that had been a part of his training in the early days of the organization he was a part of. While he hadn't been a huge outdoors man in the past, he knew how to hunt and gather...he especially knew how to hunt as he was a hunter of humans by occupation
As the sun descended in the sky, Dominic sat quietly on the beach, facing out to sea. He had just been for a swim to wash off the days grime that had gathered on his skin. He now wore a pair of baggy jeans and an open shirt, his hair still wet from the salty water before him. The fact that he had been captured still annoyed him, but even he couldn't deny to himself that he somehow felt a sense of peace whenever he took his time to focus on the beauty that the island showed him.
Dominic closed his eyes for a moment, taking in the sound of the rushing waves and the smell of the ocean, before he was interrupted by a voice that had become too familiar over the past couple of weeks. As she spoke, Dominic merely opened his eyes, appearing indifferent to the current situation. "How can I be tanning when the sun is descending in the sky as we speak?" Dominic spoke dryly, his eyes still fixed on the horizon.
Since arriving on the island, Lyric seemed to have insisted on pursuing Dominic over and over again. Whether she was doing this simply because he was the new guy on the island or whether she gained some form of pleasure from irritating him, Dominic didn't know, but she seemed to find ways to ruin his peace and quiet. "On the contrary, seeing you was the least on my 'to do' list for today." He stated bluntly, choosing to ignore her questions in hope she'd go away.

before i fall too fast. kiss me quick, but make it last. so i can see how badly this will hurt me when you say goodbye. keep it sweet, keep it slow. let the future past, and don't let go. but tonight i could fall too soon into this beautiful moonlight. but you're so hypnotizing. ---------------he had a smart mouth. that was something that she realized as soon as she met him. a lot of people wouldn't take the things so lighthearted, but she did. they were stuck on a island, she wasn't about to take everything to heart. then again half the shit he had said to her wasn't even close to hurtting her feelings. she was sure if he had then this would be a different lyric in front of him. she doubt she would be bothing him if he had really gotten to him. her blue eyes rolled as she moved to sit down next to him. her fingers ran in the sand, making shapes and letters with her nail. "well you could have been here for hours before. i don't need you being moody with me today," she mumbled, sure that she hadn't even gotten the worst of it yet. she pushed and pushed until he snapped. that was their relationship. she didn't know why she did that to him, cause if it was with anyone else she would have just said forget it and went on about her day. the fact that he was so mysterious and didn't open up at all about himself was probably it. it took her a good two weeks to find out what his name was. thats just cause she was pestering the poor man. she had that effect on people. she guess she was like that little annoying sister, even though she wanted more than anything to not be. especially when she found said person to be attractive. lyric nibbled on her bottom lip, taking a small deep breath. looking over at him and rolling her eyes. "so you are telling me you don't want to see me?" she wasn't sure if she wanted to laugh or be hurt by the statement. she was hurt, she decided. she wanted him to appreciate her, even though she knew nothing about him. for all she knew this man was a serial killer. he could be married or something. she really didn't know how dangerous he could be. the things he said kind of gave an idea, but she always just pushed that aside and had some witty or sarcastic remark to respond to him by. "thats fine, i didn't want to see you today either. you just happened to be where i was walking," she laid back. moving her arms behind her head so her hair wouldn't get too much sand in it. it was bad enough washing off in salt water. she was sure it was gritty enough. there was a lot of things she took for granted before she came here. a shower was one of them. she never knew how precious they were to her. of course she'd take two a day, but it was something she never she thought she had to live without. like her cell phone or some body wash. when she first came onto the island she was confused. waking up in a dark jungle wasn't her best day. she cried a lot. she could hardly remember anything. she just remembered she was walking to her car in a deserted parking lot. next thing she knew something was over her mouth and she was out. then she woke up there. on a island. she wasn't sure why. she wasn't sure what the people wanted with the rest of them. they made drops. that wasn't really enough, but they made do with what they had. there wasn't much she could do about it, but pray and hope that she would be able to go home some day. she wasn't sure if that was ever gonna come true, no one knew how to get out, and the government really didn't seem to give a damn about them. she let out a sigh and turned to look at him. her eyes running over his face. he was a hand full. now that he really let her see much of who he was, but she hadn't been told to fuck off. his body language might have suggested it, but she rather just ignore that and go on like he wanted her around. "what is your problem anyways? i mean its not like i did anything to you. not like i asked you to be put on this fucking island." she moved to lay on her stomach. resting her head into her palm and not taking her eyes off of him. she really wanted to know. "you dont need to be pissy twenty-four seven." she mumbled, her eyes looking at him and then shifting to look out into the ocean. her shoulders shrugging as much as they could as she continue to lay on her stomach. "how about we do something? to relax you, so you aren't acting like you have a stick up your ass." she sat up some, feeling excited. pretty sure he would deny the offer, but at lease she was trying. then again she was always trying with him. he just never seemed to care. "a hike! on the mountains. thats good, right?" then again she loved hikes and anything with physical activity. TAG: DOMINIC / LARNIE. WORDS: IDK. OUTFIT: CLICK. NOTES: KK.

If Lyric had any idea as to who Dominic was off the island and what he did for a living, he was sure she wouldn't be so insistent in wanting to spend time with him. However, blurting out the fact that he was a hitman in the real world wasn't the best idea at present. Despite the fact that Dominic was a survivor, he didn't think he could handle an angry mob of islanders knocking on his hut door. With that in mind, Dominic was forced to remain guarded in order to keep his secrets hidden.
"Why didn't you keep walking? Do you trample over peoples personal space often?" Dominic asked sarcastically as he watch Lyric lay down next to him. His eyes transformed into a slight glare before he turned his gaze back to the horizon. Secretly and deep down, Dominic actually enjoyed Lyric's company and was surprised that she continued to push him, despite him making it clear that he wanted to be left alone. She had guts, he had to respect that. However, that didn't stop him from continuously pushing her away.
At her question, Dominic let out a frustrated sigh. "I don't blame you for anything, only disturbing my peace and quiet." He answered her. He was usually a patient guy, but even he had his limits. Lyric had been on his case pretty much as soon as he arrived at the camp after he had woken up in the jungle. He ignored her insults, taking a deep breath through his nose in order to remain calm and keep the monster within at bay. "I go for a hike almost every day...I relax when you're not around." He spoke harshly, even he believed that he was too harsh for the apparent "crime" Lyric was committing, not that he'd admit it then and there. That's what Dominic did whenever he felt himself beginning to open up, whenever another person tried to get to know him. It was every man or woman for themselves on this island, but Dominic felt himself caring for his fellow islanders more and more each day...more than he liked to admit.
