The Notes hope you enjoy.. (; Running his hands through his brown hair he let out a sigh. I swear this girl is one of the most frustrating broads I've ever met. He cursed silently. One minute she loved him and the next she despised him. Being pulled back and forth like this he would've bet Juliana was some type of bipolar. That or she didn't know what the hell she wanted in her life. Seeing as Ryland was already showered and dressed, it wasn't going to take him long to get ready. The nice guy in him decided to give Jules a few spare minutes for her to make sure she looked her best. He replayed the conversation they just shared in his head a few times. Sure, he thought that there were things he could've left unsaid or at least chosen a better way to say them. "Ahh, who cares anyway. Today she would have twisted anything I said to her." He mumbled under his breath as he freshened up before heading down his apartment stairs to his car.
Jumping in and driving towards the little McDonald's a few blocks away from his home, he chuckled to himself about how this one girl drove him absolutely crazy at times. He shook his head as he noticed the golden arch coming up on his right. He pulled into the McDonald's parking lot, looking around for Julia. Ry parked his car and got out, noticing that he was a tad bit early. Figuring she was gonna be late anyway, he started to walk towards the building and noticed that just beyond the drive-thru lane there was a little mom and pop store. Just outside their front door was a bucket of brightly colored flowers. Thinking about it for just a moment longer, he passed the front door to the mickey d's and ended up paying for a little bouquet of pink flowers. He hurried back, hoping that the flowers wouldn't be too much, but more importantly that he wouldn't be late. With the way Jules was acting today he knew he didn't want to set her off anymore.
Knowing how the two of them worked, Ryland wanted to try controlling his temper around Julia today. If it was possible and things went swimmingly today, Ry wouldn't know what to do with himself. Entering the McDonald's, he tried to see if the girl who didn't want anything to do with him, but agreed to come to lunch was already here, but couldn't catch a glimpse of her just yet.. |

the day i first met you, you told me you'd never fall in love. now that i get you, i know fear is what it really was. now here we are, so close, yet so far. haven't i passed the test? when will you realize, baby i'm not like the rest. dont wanna break your heart. wanna give your heart a break. i know you're scared its wrong, like you might make a mistake. there's just one life to live and there's no time to waste, to waste. so let me give your heart a break. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------juliana kept telling herself that she wasn't going. she didn't want to see his face. she didn't want to admit that he had hurt her. how? by not being there when she woke up. it wasn't like this was the first time, but any other time she could have cared less. now all of a sudden she was disappointed. perhaps cause she let herself fall for ryland banks. then again she wouldn't even say fall. she just let herself trust him, and once she started trusting, thats when she started backing off. being hot again wasn't an option. which is why she was so good at having a mans mentality. to have sex and ditch right afterwards. she had needs and a relationship wasn't one of those needs. then again she was so confused on what she wanted in life she wasn't sure she could honestly say that and mean it. she knew just that she wanted him to be there. that she had woke up in his arms enough to be disappointed when he wasn't there. today she had decided to voice it, and she wish she hadn't. though she was always the type to say how she felt. seeing his name on her messenger..how could she resist that. now she had agreed to meet him at mcdonalds. big mistake. cause even though she said there wasn't anything to talk about, she knew he probably address it. to spite her, cause he really cared, who knew the reason. though it made her feel better iff she told herself that she didn't care and he didn't care. she kissed her pooch goodbye and grabbed her things off the counter. she was already dressed for the day and she thought she looked pretty damn good. then again she always thought she looked good. it didn't matter though, ryland opinion of her didn't matter either. it didn't take her long to get from point a to point b. mainly because she hadn't lived that far, so red lights and a few turns and she was already pulling into the parking lot. she couldn't resist but look at her reflection in the rear view mirror, her finger fixing the smudge of lip gloss that got out of place. she looked at the curls in her head and just got out the car. grabbing her purse and heading for the door. she crossed her arms over her chest, looking around the restaurant. it didn't take long to find a guy standing alone...holding flowers. she stared at him for a moment and then glanced at the flowers. it wasn't everyday he was giving her flowers. she took a deep breath before walking over towards him. "who died?" she nodded towards the flower. still in total shock that he got flowers. she wasn't sure if she was excited or nervous over the gesture. his way of apologizing from him no thinking? but then again he overreacted, but she wasn't going to admit that. julia looked over at the menu above the works. she had been to mcdonalds enough, and she always got the same thing. the fact that ryland was paying she could have picked somewhere more experience, but she wanted it to be casual and she wanted to be able to ditch quickly afterwards. "hi, by the way." she looked up at the taller figure. giving him a small smile. still pretty upset, but it wasn't like she could stay made at him when he was feeding her and he purchased flowers. it didn't take a lot to please her. she was a pretty down to earth and easy (to an extent) girl to please. "i think i just want fries...and a drink," she wasn't that hungry. then again she wasn't hungry when it was her time of the month, she was sick, or she was upset about something. she looked back at him, and then away quickly. "chop chop, i dont have all day." she nudged him towards the register. "ooh, get sweet chili sauce!" she was gonna try her hardest to avoid "talking" about what happened earlier. she could talk about food all day if she needed to. tag: ryland / coradora. outfit: click. notes <3

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] OH MY JUST PLEASE TRY TO SHUT UP AND KISS ME BABY The Words: 348 The Outfit: here! The Notes sorry, it's short.. As he was mulling over the choices he had for lunch he began to wonder if she'd even show. Ryland could definitely tell how upset Julia was with him. Some of the things he said to her probably didn't help. There was a good possibility that she'd change her mind and ditch him. He began to grow anxious thinking about it, when she finally walked through the door. He let out a sigh of relief as she approached him.
Who died? The small smile on his face wasn't sure if it should falter or grow even bigger. "Ha. Ha. So funny Jules." He said, rolling his eyes and shaking his head. Holding them out to her, he added, "They're for you." Not elaborating on why for the time being. He figured if he could get her to order her food first then she'd have to stay longer to hear him out. Hi, by the way. Ry watched her look up at him and give a small smile before turning to look at the menu. "Hey." Was all he said as he wrapped one arm around her and pulled her in for a gentle hug, smiling a little bit. He couldn't tell what she was thinking right now, but her mind seemed to be preoccupied with lunch. I think I just want fries...and a drink. "That's all? Are you sure you don't want anything else? A sandwich, a salad, or even some chicken nuggets?" He asked as she nudged him towards the counter. Chop chop, I don’t have all day. Ryland let out another sigh as he began to place the order. "I'll have a quarter pound burger with fries and a drink. Also, an order of fries and a drink with a side of sweet chili sauce, please." He told the cashier. After double checking that Julia didn't want anything else he paid the cashier. Their food was ready in a few minutes and soon they were trying to decide where to sit. "Your choice ma'am." He said, motioning with the tray of food to the dining area. |

"well thank you for the flowers, ry." see this is why it was hard for her to stay angry at him, and thats why she always called him to keep her company. even if she said she was done. she let him put her arm around her and give her a small hug. "you smell nice," she smirked and looked down at her shoes. she had to stand her ground and not be falling for this caring ryland. cause he cared when he wanted to, or at lease that's how she felt about the situation. her head nodded and she moved her hands into her pocket. "yeah, i just want the fries." though as he mentioned the chicken nuggets she had to rethink this. mcdonalds chicken nuggets were good, and he just knew her too well. even if he was just guessing. though the fries would do for now. she moved up to the counter with him as he ordered. she nibbled on her lip as she looked around the restaurant for a table. she really didn't care where they sat. she moved towards one of the tables in the back. "here, i'll get our drinks." she reached for the cups as she sat her flowers down and went to the drink fountain station. putting ice and filling hers up dr. pepper and his up with mountain dew. juliana went over to the table, sitting their cups down and sitting across from him. "so, thanks for lunch." she grabbed her sauce and opened it and started dipping fries into it. she stared over at him, dropping her hands to rest in her lap. "okay, is this totally awkward? cause i feel like its awkward and i don't do well with awkward." at lease she hadn't run off already. she was good at that, but she was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. she was trying to be able to be friends with him and sex not be involved. they started off as friends. sex always had to make things complicated, and now these were complicated cause she was stubborn and in some deep lust for the bastard. she tapped her fingernails on the counter top and shrugged her shoulders. "maybe its just me." she picked up another fry and nibbled on it. "so what did you have to do earlier today? that was so important and all." julia looked into the play pen and watched the kids play around. "actually you dont have to answer that. how is work?" small talk. she could handle that. tag: ryland / coradora. outfit: click. notes <3

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] OH MY JUST PLEASE TRY TO SHUT UP AND KISS ME BABY The Words: 477 The Outfit: here! The Notes (: His smile grew as she took the flowers and thanked him. "No problem." He said, kissing her gently on her head. He figured this was a bold move, but Ry hoped she wouldn't mind it too much. She commented on him smelling nice and he let out a chuckle. She always did like his cologne; maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. Maybe there was actually a possibility that Julia would forgive him and they'd both leave here happy. It was small, but it was possible or so it seemed.
As Juliana filled their cups, Ryland sat down at a booth in the back. It just so happened to be kind of near the little play area for the kids. When Jules returned he gave her a smile and thanked her. In turn she thanked him for lunch. "It's no big deal." He said, placing her fries and sauce in front of her. He opened the wrapper to his burger and took a bite. As he watched Juliana start to eat her fries, he noticed she looked tense. He was hoping it was from still be upset with him and then she spilled the beans. Okay, is this totally awkward? Cause I feel like its awkward and I don't do well with awkward. Maybe it’s just me. Taking another bite of his burger, Ryland sat back in his seat and nodded. "Kinda.. Were the flowers too much? I know you said that you didn't want me to make it up to you, but come on Jules. I care about ya." Ryland looked at his hands which were now in his lap.
When her voice started again, he looked up and me her gorgeous blue eyes. Unable to hide a smile, he waited for her to finish speaking. So what did you have to do earlier today? That was so important and all. Actually you don’t have to answer that. How is work? Glancing down at her fingers strumming the table, he gently placed a hand over hers. "Jules, we can talk about it. It's fine. I don't want you to be pissed at me still. And I know, you're done with me. Even if I'm not overly happy about it, if that's what you really want then fine. I'll accept it. But you can't continue to be mad at me.. But anyway, I had to pick up groceries and send some stuff in the mail. Ya know bills and whatnot. I know it doesn't seem exciting, but it had to be done." He said, watching her for a reaction. Even to him it seemed like a shitty excuse, even if it was true. He tried to reign in his emotions and keep his tone calm. It was up to Juliana now. He wasn't sure how she would take it and what her reaction would be. |

"i don't know. you don't give me flowers all the time, but i like that you gave me flowers. even if you were just trying to get in my good graces." she admitted and grabbed her cup, taking a small sip out of it. "you care?" she arched her eyebrow, trying to figure out his motive here. they were good friends who had sex, and she was trying to keep it that way. it just didn't seem to be working, which meant that left her a few options on how to handle the matter. her eyebrow arched as he smiled and she eyed him suspiciously. looking down at his hand moving over hers and then glanced over at him as she bit her bottom lip. of course he thought they could talk about, but she didn't want to..or did she. she wasn't even sure anymore. this wasn't how she pictured her day. if only she kept her mouth closed, then she wouldn't even have to be going through this. "i'm not pissed at you. i mean i was pissed at you earlier today, but its kinda hard to remain that way when a guy pays for my fries and bought me flowers. double whammy." she gave a little smirk, hoping to lighten the mood some but not sure if she was succeeding. his reason for leaving was pretty pathetic. groceries. really? like who woke up and decided to just go grocery shopping, as if the store was going to close sometime soon. she didn't even know how to respond to that. she understood the bills part, cause she was paying her own bills and had deadlines to meet but something told her not to believe everything he said. perhaps this was her defense mechanism. to just assume every guy was lying to her and push them away. she was good at that. she always did that. they sooner or later would be out the picture andn then another one would come around. it was trying, but it seemed like she wasn't going to be changing anytime soon. juliana slipped her hand from under his, a little frustrated..but she really wasn't trying to show it. she really wanted to just forgive and forget. it was sex. he was a fuck partner. a friend. nothing more and nothing less. "i just dont know anymore. like i know its a shitty reason for me to be mad at you for leaving. like you have left before and i could have cared less. i dont know why all of a sudden i was appalled and not happy about it." she had some theories on why she wasn't happy, but she wasn't in the mood to address that either. "me saying im done..i want to be done," she diverted her eyes, trying to word this as best of her ability. "i'm just not sure if i can. i don't know if its cause you are just really good in bed or.." she lifted her shoulders and hands at the same time. she just didn't know. this was too much for her, and really she knew it was all up to her. he would accept whatever she said, cause he really had no other choice. he had said he was "fighting for her", but to her he wasn't. it was a sexual thing, or she just wanted to believe that. two different opinions on the subjects. she felt like she was setting herself up for rejection, heartbreak, something along those lines. when it came to discussing her feelings, it freaked her out. she never even been in a real relationship. maybe like two and high school, and to be honest that was just her sleeping around with the guy and maybe going on a few cheap dates. she guess it was kind of like this. she frowned at the thought. "maybe we should stop. take a break from each other.." she glanced at him, trying to read his face. even though it just came out of her mouth and it was her suggestion, she didn't like it too much. how would she not talk to him. when they were cool he was great to be around. he made her laugh, smile, angry, and just overall a good guy. until he got mad, then again he was totally sexy during that time, so it was another plus. she needed him to respond, but at the same time she felt like this conversation got too serious too fast. "this is not how i had my day planned," she whined as she rested her head on the table. tag: ryland / coradora. outfit: click. notes <3

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] OH MY JUST PLEASE TRY TO SHUT UP AND KISS ME BABY The Words: 960 The Outfit: here! The Notes gahh...! these twoo! Ryland could tell that something was still bothering her. He wasn't sure if it was because of his gestures just now or if it was still forms him simply leaving this morning. If Julia thought she was confused, Ry was ten times more confused than her. He looked around the restaurant as she spoke again. I don't know. You don't give me flowers all the time, but I like that you gave me flowers. Even if you were just trying to get in my good graces. He looked back to her and sighed. Picking up his burger he took a few more bites and rolled his eyes when she asked him if he cared. "Juliana, of course I do. We may not be in an actual relationship and we may not want the real deal, but you're still a friend. Are you telling me that you don't care about me?" He asked, sitting back and eating a few fries while waiting for her answer. The frustration he was feeling was still contained, but he wasn't sure how much more he could handle. It was so easy for her to get under his skin. It was like she didn't even have to try sometimes.
Their history was such a story, one probably wouldn't believe it. The way these two would fight and argue people questioned them all the time about why they were trying to stay this way. Some suggested they just go out already and others thought they were crazy for continuing down the path. For Ryland, he knew that there were some great parts of Julia that he could see himself living with for forever, but there were other parts that he couldn't stand. Don't get him wrong, he thought she was great. Just not his girlfriend type I guess. She was a good time in bed though. They seemed to be getting along just fine without any talk of commitment between them. Now all of a sudden Jules got pissed that he left her. If they weren't in a relationship then why would it matter? It's not like he'd never left without waking her before. Hell, there were nights where they'd do the deed and then he'd leave and not even think about sleeping over. All of a sudden things changed. He wondered if she was starting to develop deeper feelings for him or if this was just more of her 'what the hell do I want' antics.
Either way when she started to speak again she seemed to be joking around. Ryland didn't know if that was because she didn't want things to escalate or what. He took it as it was and smiled, letting out a chuckle. "Oh yeah, I'm basically pouring my heart out to you with fast food and weeds. Man, oh man. You better run." He said with a hint of sarcasm. If fries and flowers were the way to make her not pissed at him, then so be it. Ryland wasn’t gonna argue with that. Yet, he still didn’t fully understand what was going on with her and it bugged him. It surprised him as she pulled her hand away from his. I just don’t know anymore. Like I know it’s a shitty reason for me to be mad at you for leaving. Like you have left before and I could have cared less. I don’t know why all of a sudden I was appalled and not happy about it. He shook his head, laughing a little. “Your guess is as good as mine dear. You’re the one who controls your out of whack emotions, not me.” Alright, so he let one smart-ass comment out. He knew he was bound to pay for it, but as the conversation continued it became harder for him to hold in his anger and frustration. Me saying I’m done, I want to be done I’m just not sure if I can. I don't know if its cause you are just really good in bed or.. She paused and he started to shake his head. Of course she was using him, and technically he was using her. Ryland was about to make another joke about the whole thing when her next words filled his head. Maybe we should stop. Take a break from each other..
This was and wasn’t a surprise for him. These two had called it quits quite a few times. Unfortunately Ryland hadn’t expected this to happen at this exact moment, let alone today. Thinking more about it Ry realized how much he hated being dragged around by Juliana. They’d fight, she’d say they needed a permanent break, and a few weeks later she’d call him complaining that she missed him and that she made a bad decision, they should try again. Of course, going right along with it was this poor pathetic guy that only kept going back because she was such a good lay (sometimes he even felt bad for her). This is not how I had my day planned. Her words brought him back to reality. Sighing, he wrapped up his burger and placed the rest of the trash on the tray. “I think that’d be a great idea actually. I can’t handle your ridiculous mood swings lately anyway. This time I think it should be for good. Seriously, no more coming back. It’s what’s best for both of us.” He said, standing up taking the tray with him. “By the way dear, it’s not how I planned my day going either. Better let your next play toy know you don’t like it when he leaves in morning. Maybe you’ll keep him longer.” He added, turning to throw away the trash and get out of the building and away from her. |
