He was alright. Sure he felt sick, but it was all in his head. He felt bad about what he'd done, and he felt sick because of it. The only thing was that he wasn't about to tell her that. Standing up straight, Haldir waved off Sam, releasing his hold on his stomach. He looked down at the brunette and smiled. Genuinely smiled. It wasnt some sly smirk or cocky grin as he usually sported on his face. No. This was a smile a real one. Something that hadn't happened in a long time. He wasn't even sure if Sammie had ever seen one on his face. He ran a hand through his hair and spoke softly just as she'd done. "I'll be fine, Sammie." He said, but out of the corner of his eye spotted a bench not far from them. He was sure that he was going to be fine, but he didn't think that taking chances tonight was going to be an option anymore. He'd found out the hard way what tha would lead to, and as sick as he felt he wasn't sure that he should hold off until he got home.
"Maybe I should sit anyways. The cool night air might sober me up a little." He chuckled and nodded towards the bench he'd spotted not too long ago and headed towards it. This night, he found, just was getting stranger and stranger. Maybe he had a good thought staying home that day and had only been testing fate by going out that night. Sammie showing up, his ill and stupid trick that he'd played in the bar, pushing his limits. What were the gods planning for them? What was up their sleeves. The way he was feeling was strange in itself, the sudden smile that had lit up his face, his sudden niceness? He wanted to know what was going on, but he couldn't voice his wonder. Who would listen? Certainly not Sammie. She'd probably just chalk it all up to the alcohol coursing through his veins. Something that certainly could have been the cause, but he wasn't about to think too heavily on the thought.
Haldir sat down on the bench and beckoned Sammie towards him. "Come on, Sam. Come sit with me. We can talk."

"what do you want to talk about?" samantha asked calmly. for some reason she was growing a bit tired, which was strange since only minutes ago she had all the energy in the world. "if its about everything that has happened tonight, lets just both agree that we were ass-holes. i shouldn't have slapped you and you shouldn't have said some of the things you said, however we are who we are and we cant change that. lets just agree to disagree and know that we both had faults and chalk it up to be drunk and not knowing our normal limits." samantha just wanted to get the awkwardness out of the way. although the two didn't always get along, things were never this weird and to be honest, it made it a little hard to sit there with him now, so mid as well get it all out of the way. He didn't really want to talk to Sammie about anything specific. He just wanted to talk. Maybe even figure out what had triggered all this bad blood between them. Okay, so he had a big hand in it, but he wasn't the entire cause. The two of them didn't really have a whole lot of history. Honestly, they really only knew each other through his brother and they'd only really met a few time in the time the two had dated, and in the few times he'd seen Sammie, he'd felt feelings. Feelings he didn't know he was even capable of. Feelings like the ones he felt at that moment. He could have romantic feelings for Sammie, he didn't know, he couldn't quite tell, not with everything else that was clouding his mind and his heart, which included the alcohol. There had been a time when he did like Sammie, where in fact he could have loved her, but he wouldn't have known. He could have passed it off as heartburn on certain days, or even gas. He didn't really know how to feel real feelings. He was a black soul, and he knew that.
Haldir shrugged. He actually hadn't even thought of apologizing a second time for what had happened, even if now he thought it would help him purge himself of whatever he was feeling. He nodded. "I agree. Let's just push it behind us and move on." He said, slumping down in his seat, and sticking his hands into his pockets. He was sure that agreeing with her was the best course of action. Mostly for his sake, of course. He smirked, looking over at Sammie, a small smirk on his lips. "I wouldn't mind kissing you again, though." So he couldn't help himself. It was in. His nature to be an annoying, selfish, horny, man-jerk, but he didn't care.

"come on, lets get you home mr big boy who cant hold his liquor." samantha was still smiling, not even sure of the reason for her sudden change in mood. The illusion was strange to say the least. For him, the entire night was strange. Smiling, being nice, what the hell had been in those drinks he'd had? He moved closer to Sammie and rest his head against her shoulder, closing his eyes. He was starting to get a little tired, the pain in his stomach now long gone. Listening to her speak, Haldir now knew that nothing was going to happen, even if he wanted something to happen. He was a guy, he always seemed to have sex on his mind. More so now that he was drunk, but she specifically said that nothing was going to happen and he now was going to respect that. He was probably going to fall asleep any moment anyways.
When Sammie stood, his head fell off her shoulder and he moaned from the loss of contact. Slowly he opened his eyes and looked up at Sammie, then at her hand held out to him. They were going to leave now. Really leave, she was going to take him home, put him into his hotel bed, tuck him under those big down filled comforters -- even in his heat -- and then he would go to sleep and she would leave and go back to her friends leaving him alone for another night. Only who knew when they would meet again. Would it be tomorrow, the day after, a week from now, two, a year? Would it really matter, though? It wasn't like either was going to act on what they felt. They weren't going to go hog wild, buck naked and making babies until the sun rose. No. They werent friends, they weren't lovers, Haldir didn't know what the hell they were. She was probably just going to be Pippin's ex to him for the rest of their lives. That was it, that was their future. Nothing. Just two people who happened to have met and she just happened to have dated his brother. The end.
Haldir sighed and took Sammie's hand and stood up. "Alright, lady you can take me home. No matter how much I kinda want you there with me all night long." He said with a wink. At least he wasn't ever going to change.

"okay hallie, time for bed." she said softly before she climbed out of the driver side and started to make her way to the passenger side to help haldir out, opening the door before he could and holding it open for him.[/div] hallie (kait), outfit, 513 words, sorry for the god mod a bit. just trying to get them to the hotel. He frowned and looked back at the shorter girl. "He's stupid." He mumbled, even in the state he was in he knew that driving himself home was stupid. That he drove in the first place, but the principal still applied. Haldir blinked a couple times to wake himself up a little as he stumbled over to the passenger side door. He reached for the handle, but it seemed that Sammie had the door open before he was even able to register that it hadn't been shut when he got there. He chuckled at her comment, getting into the car. Of course she would think that. I mean it was kinda true, at least for him, that sex was always on the brain. He enjoyed it, the feeling he got not only during, but before and after. He felt a sense of dominance as he basically took control of another human being and was able to pleasure them to the point of no return. With each sexual act, it's said that you give that person a part of your soul, so it was really no wonder that Haldir didn't seem to have one at all. He'd slept with so many woman he'd lost count. Some he didn't even bother to learn their names. It seemed a little hard to conceive, and yet for the past ten years it was how he'd lived his life.
He had waited until she had gotten into the car before speaking again, fumbling with the seatbelt as he tried to secure himself into the vehicle. He might have been inebriated, but he wasn't completely dense. "Who said anything about sleeping together?" He asked, sure his comment had initially implied sex, but in all honesty, it wasn't quite what he had in mind. Really he just wanted her to be like a teddy bear for him until the morning, to cuddle with his brother's ex and sleep through the night uninterrupted.
The ride to the hotel seemed short and uneventful to Haldir. He had closed his eyes, shielding them from the harsh streets lights, but hadn't fallen asleep. He was forcing his body to wait until he'd gotten into the king sized bed in his room before letting his body's wishes be granted. When they arrived, he did what any normal human would and pulled off his seatbelt, but due to his current state took him a minute. He had barely realized that Sammie had exited the car, gotten to his side and opened the door for him. He looked up at the brunette and smiled, climbing out of the vehicle, careful not to trip over himself and fall over. "Please don't call me that." he said, the smile on his face being wiped off when he'd heard the nickname. "You know how I despise it." At least his vocabulary hadn't been impared like the rest of him. notes: no problem, bb

"im sorry. i thought you had grown use to it to be honest. however ill stop if it means that much to you." shrugging, samantha moved an arm around the big man and used her free arm to take his and loop it around her shoulder, allowing him to use her for support if he needed it. "either way, lets go big guy, its time to get you in bed so i can go home." pulling the man out of the car lightly, samantha slammed the door shut and started to walk him toward to his room, stopping when they finally reached the door. "do you have the door key on you?" letting go of him, she moved to the side, so he would be able to find his key and slip it in. [/div] hallie (kait), outfit, words, sorry for the god mod a bit. He didn't quite need to use her as a support, he was surprised she could handle his weight in the first place. He was a large man, but well porportioned at 6'4" and 220lbs. Most of the time he didn't mind being tall. Sure he was teased about his height almost constantly, especially by his brother, but after so many years of it happening, not didn't bother him. He heard the comments that came out of Sammie's mouth, noting his height. He got it. He was above average, he didn't need the comments, and yet they continued to come. Haldir sighed, blinking lazily as they walked. It looked like he was just going to have to deal with it. There wasnt anything he was going to be able to do about it, unless there was some magic spell to make him shorter, but he doubt it. He was going to be a giant forever. It was set in stone.
He looked down at Sammie and let his lips form the smile he'd been sporting earlier that night, but this time he wasn't going to let it bother him. He was drunk, it didn't matter if he smiled or not. Sure, he was usually a heartless bastard and the smile actually made him seem like a psychopath, but maybe he was. He just didn't know it yet. He shrugged, licking his lips. "Think what you like, babe. That wasn't my intention, however." he said, being truthful. He needed to stop drinking. It made him quite different from himself. It made him more like his brother than he already was. He hadn't realized it, but he and Pippin were more alike than either of them could have ever expected. They were both devoted, athletic, flirty men, and when they put their minds to something it was stuck. Less so for Haldir, but it was still a small part of his personality that made him that much more like Pippin, that he despised just As much as that god forsaken nickname his brother gave him.
When they reached his room, Haldir nodded and rummaged through his pocket for the key to his room. He pulled it out only a second later and quickly examined the white card. He found it quite pretty and flipped it around his fingers, smiling foolishly. "Thanks." He mumbled before slipping the key into the right slot and opening the door to his room. He let the large wooden door swing open, but didn't go in. He made a motion, letting Sammie go in first, which took him a little off guard and he briefly lost his balance. He giggled and quickly fixed himself, waiting for Sammie to enter the room first. "After you." notes: no problem, bb [/quote]

"come on, lets get you ready for bed so you can go to sleep." almost dragging haldir over to the bed, samantha shoved him down and grabbed for the hem of his shirt, starting to pull it over his head before he could protest. tossing it to the side, samantha leaned down to start undoing his shoes, hoping that haldir couldn't do this for himself. she would feel stupid if she found out he could have done all of this on his own. however she didn't want to leave the drunk man to fend for himself. no she would take his shoes off, get him to lay down and tuck him in. she would be out of the room in a matter of minutes and on her way. yes in a minute or two samantha would be leaving and this night would be nothing more than a small nightmare. standing back up, samantha looked down at haldir, smiling at him lightly "come one, lay down and ill get you covered up so you can go to sleep." she said lightly as she waited for the man to lay down so she could do as she said and be on her way. He kicked the door shut behind him, and walked further into the room, pulling his jacket off with a little bit of difficulty that by the time he'd gotten it off, he was quite frustrated with the garment and threw it onto the ground quite childishly. He mumbled incoherently to himself, staring at the jacket, a dark glare in his green eyes. He wasn't all that happy any longer, in fact he was becoming quite grumpy. Maybe it was the alchohol, or maybe it was just the night in general. His mind was working quite slowly, and as he raised his eyes to take in his room, his cheeks began to burn a bright read. The place was a disaster. Papers lay strewn around, some crumpled some not, most were covered in incoherent scribbles, others were more legible. The muscles in his face relaxed and he sighed, only just realizing Sammie pulling him towards the bed. He followed lazily, too sleepy, embarrassed and angry at himself to even care what was going on anymore.
Haldir sat on the bed with no problem, aiding his female acquaintance in the removal of his shirt. The elder man, sighed and closed his eyes, leaning back on the bed, using his hands as support, letting Sammie undress him. He wasn't quite sure if he was able to do these things by himself, and he didn't quite care, especially after what had happened with his jacket. Sure, he wasn't frustrated anymore, however he believed that if the wrong thing was said he would blow a fuse, and he couldn't handle that. It had been evident in the past that his words could cut like a sharp blade, and he didn't want to urt Sammie with something stupid he would say if she had said something. He figured that he might as well just keep his mouth shut and not say anything. He wasn't about to ruin this night for either of them anymore than he'd already done.
Once his shoes where off and Sammie was standing before him, Haldir sat up, looking up at the beautiful brunette before him. He gave a slightly drunken smirk and put his hands on her hips, pulling her towards her. He let one of his hands travel up her torso, over her waist, the top of her chest, her shoulders, her neck, as the other pulled loose the already loose braid, letting the dark flowing locks cascade around her shoulders. He smiled and buried his fingers in her hair. He pulled her down so that their faces were level and their noses were touching. He stared into her eyes, waiting for any sort of reaction from her, but when it appeared that none would, he spoke softly, his voice deeper than usual. "Just give in." He said and crashed their lips together in what he felt was a passionate kiss, using his free hand to pull her on top of him as he lay back on the bed, giving into his own temptations. He didn't care what shed said about sleeping with drunk men. He knew that she and Pippin had a few wild nights back in the day, and he wasn't about let a few silly words get in the way. notes: oh my goodness, babe. This is intense.

[style=background-image: url(http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac6/hannahthehat/minka11.png); width: 350px; height: 300px;] [/style][style=width: 400px; font-family: arial; padding-bottom: 5px; text-transform: lowercase; border-bottom: 5px solid #20425C; font-size:10px; padding-top: 5px; color:#000; text-align:justify; line-height:120%;] there wasn't much of a wait for the haldir to make a move, however it wasn't the move samantha was expecting. while she was waiting for the man to lay down so she could tuck him in, he instead moved his hands to her hips, pulling her toward him. she stumbled a little, not expecting the actions the man had just made. placing her hands on his shoulders for support, samantha tried collect herself. here he was again, trying to make a move. had it not been clear all night that she wasn't sleeping with the drunk man? she didn't think so low of herself. a man didn't need to be drunk to want to sleep with her and if they did, he wasn't worthy of her. haldir was no different. looking down as she felt his hands drift up her sides, over her waist, samantha was sure he was going to go for a boob grab, in which case he was going to get alone slap for the night, making it three and he was going to be out. samantha was a firm believer in the three strikes your out rule, something she didn't even give a man that man. however, haldirs hands kept making their way up, till they were at her neck. frowning her brow lightly, samantha watching him curiously, making sure not to move just out of pure curiosity of what he was up to. she could feel her hair let loose and she was sure her hair was loose of its braid. great, now she would have to redo that before returning to the girls. "what are you.." samantha didn't get to finish her question before her face was being pulled down to the same level as haldirs, their nose's touching lightly. blinking once, samantha watched the man. she was still curious of what he was up to. surly he wasn't brave enough to pull this move yet again? if he did, he had more balls than samantha had thought. "im not giving in to.." once again samantha was cut short, only this time it was by haldirs lips pressing onto hers, for the second time of the night. it wasn't long before the drunk man was pulling samantha down on top of him, not letting up on the kiss. for a moment samantha followed him. crawling up as he laid on the best, resting her knees on either side of his waist in a straddle, her hands falling onto his chest for support. she was even kissing him back, with more force than he had started with. however this only lasted a moment before she was pulling away and using one of her hands to push her hair back, looking down at haldir. for a moment she was sure she was going to collect her keys and run, however, as she sat there, looking down at the man, she really couldn't fight it any more. she had once wanted this, not in this way, however she had wanted a night with haldir. granted times had change, but she couldn't deny that one night with the man would be so horrible. before samantha knew it her hand found its way to his neck and her lips back to his. maybe it was the buzz clouding her mind, however all of her normal judgment was out the window and she was taking action. her hand was moving down to his belt, already starting to undo it in a fast pace, her hands working frantically as she started to trail kisses down the side of his mouth, to his jaw line, then down to his neck. her free hand gripping his shoulder, her nails digging in lightly. okay, she wouldn't fight it any more, she would let go, and letting go was what she was doing.
