The lights, the people, the smells. It sickened him. The only reason he was even there was to get a birthday present for his mom. Yes, he was a badass who loved his mom. Whatever. With bags in hand, Haldir entered the top floor elevator, ready to decend to the parking garage so that he could get the hell out of there. He pressed the button for the parking garage and moved into the back corner, waiting until he reached his own floor.
Suddenly there was a large clunk and the elevator stopped. Haldir looked around and straightened up, towering over the other people in the elevator. "What the fuck just happened?" he said, looking at the others as if they had the answers.

Reagan had just ended her shift at the music store in the mall. For just a mere store clerk, she really enjoyed her job as she got to be surrounded by what she was most passionate about: music. After collecting her bag, she practically skipped to the elevator on the second floor. Once in the elevator, she smiled briefly to acknowledge the other people in the elevator before the elevator started to descend once more. It didn't get far before it jolted to a sudden stop, which physically shook the people inside. "Dude, we're stuck in an elevator." She responded to the mans questions (whether it was rhetorical or not), before she burst into laughter, which then faded to an amused silence. Reagan's philosophy was, if you were stuck in a situation that was beyond your control, all you could do was laugh about it. Besides, it was these kinds of these unexpected situations that gave life that sense of adventure.

lissy looked at the ring on her left ring finger and smiled. having knocked the setting loose was helping her brother move some furniture, she had taken it to the jewelers to be repaired. 'thank you, it looks better than before" she said to man behind the counter as she left the jewelry store. getting into the elevator, she smiled politely at the people already on and pushed the button for her floor. playing with the ring absentmindedly, she nearly lost her balance when the elevator came to a sudden stop. an audible groan escaped her lips as she realized that they were stuck. barely listening to the other people in the elevator, she pulled out her phone, knowing that it would probably take a while for them to get out, and she was supposed to be at work in a half hour. looking at the screen, she frowned when it wouldn't light up, realizing it was dead. "damn," she muttered under her breath. after the awkward laughter stopped, lissy looked at the people with whom she was stuck. "um, does anyone have a phone i could borrow, mine's dead."

However, it was evident that it was all meant to wreck her day. She had a meeting in fifteen minutes and she was already running late, due to the fact that the shoot had ran late. Making a dash for the elevator Sammie was able to slip in just as the doors were closing, almost colliding into a large man. Glancing up at him Samantha had to repress an eye roll. Of course, Haldir, the cherry to top her already lovely day. Moving to the far corner of the elevator, she waited as the elevator started its descend, which was cut short with a large jolt, sending the four riders into a shake. "Perfect" mumbling under her breath, Samantha pulled at her skirt, shaking her head as Haldir proved just how dumb he could be. Chuckling at the girls response, Samantha glanced up at Haldir and pointed at the back of the girl who was before her. "I already like her. Glad to see your brain cells are still lacking there babe." Looking at her watch Samantha let out a sigh, it was clear this day was just getting started in the shit department. Glancing up at the girl asking about phones, Samantha pulled out her own and sighed, "I have no service"

He rolled his eyes at the red head. Of course he'd known that the elevator had stopped, he wasnt completely stupid, his only wonder was why. It seemed completely safe, and in perfect working condition, but that obviously wasn't the case. They were stuck.
He dropped his bags to the floor of the elevator and felt his pockets. He didnt even have his phone with him. He looked down, only realizing then that Samantha Jones was one of the riders with him in the now stuck elevator. He smirked and picked up one of her dark curls, running it over in his fingers. "Not lacking, just stunned, sweetheart." He said to his brother's ex, letting the strand go. "But why did it stop?"

Only half listening to the banter that occurred in the elevator, Reagan moved over to the control panel on the wall. "I have no service either, but let's see if the emergency button works." She spoke casually to no one in particular. The emergency button was connected to a speaker phone in the wall that allowed you to connect to the mall security. When she began working at the mall, she had been made to become aware of emergencies in the building and how to deal with them. She pressed the little red button and began to speak into it. "Hello? Is anyone there?" She paused for a moment to see if an answer came, but she only got static. Reagan turned back to the other people in the elevator. "I think it's busted." She stated with a slight frown.

a frown crossed lissy's face when the other girls in the elevator said they had no service, and it only deepened when the emergency button seemed to be out of order. "well," she said, trying to figure out their best course of action. "hopefully they'll figure out that the elevator is stuck and be able to get it fixed quickly." she doubted this would happen though, and figured they'd end up being trapped in there for a while unless they took the situation into their own hands. "we could always try the emergency hatch," she suggested, looking up at the ceiling of the elevator, wanting to get out as soon as possible. she really didn't want to be late to work.

Lifting her hand up to swat him away, he dropped it. "Don't touch me," she growled under her breath as she tried to move away from him. Watching as one of the girls tried to get the emergency button to work, Samantha started to get herself settles in the corner of the elevator, crossing her arms, watching the madness that was soon to start. On the inside, she too was panicking, however she would never show it. Looking up as another girl suggested the hatch, she snickered lightly and looked back over at Haldir "Come on, be our knight in shining armor. Try and shove your lard ass through that small opening and go get us some help." Smiling Samantha blew him a kiss before looking back at the girl who had suggested the idea. "Its probably not the best option, we don't know if people are working on getting this thing up and running and it wouldn't be to safe if one of us is up there when this thing gets to moving again."

Whatever. He looked up at the hatch on the ceiling of the elevator and shook his head. The hatch was always a last resort. Something he didn't want to think of just yet. He knew that someone was trying to fix this. It would only be obvious that it wasn't working. The moment it broke someone would have been down in maitnence trying to fix the problem and get it working once more. He looked over at the other girls and crossed his arms over his chest. "Sam's right, it would be too dangerous. And I'm just opposed because I'd be the one going up there." He said. Sure it wasn't his favourite thing to agree with the younger model, but it had to be done if he wanted to keep his life the way it was; in existence.

"You think you'd fit through that tiny hatch? I'd be the one going up there and we all know it. I'm the smallest." Reagan stated, clearly not afraid to speak her mind. For a twenty-two year old, she was quite petite and short, while the man in the lift was the tallest, he'd be the one giving her the boost. "But you're both right, it's too dangerous." Reagan enjoyed a bit of adventure, but she wasn't stupid. "I guess we wait and see if someone comes to find us...if not...I guess the hatch is our only hope of getting out of here..." She added, with a shrug before sitting down against the far wall of the elevator and opening her bag. "Anyone hungry?" She asked, pulling out a pack of Reese's peanut butter cups that she had bought for a jam session her and her band had planned for that evening.

alyssa listened to the concerns about the hatch. "yeah, you're right." she'd known it was a stupid idea, and she knew that they were usually bolted shut from the outside, so they wouldn't have been able to get out if they had even tried. looking at her watch, she sighed. looking at the girl who asked if anyone was hungry, she smiled and shook her head. "no thanks, i'm allergic to peanut butter." then she looked at the other two in the elevator. not knowing any of them, she leaned back against the wall of the elevator. "well, since we're going to be here a while, my name's alyssa, but everyone calls me lissy." hopefully knowing each others names would help clear up the awkwardness of being trapped with strangers.

"no thank you" samantha was snapped out of her thoughts as a girl offered some of her candy. "might want to save that, who knows how many hours we could be locked in here. i heard about an elevator that was stuck in a hospital for seven hours. were only in a mall, so we could be here a while." signing samantha started to move closer to hallie, taking a note of the name from the girl who had just introduced herself. "im samantha, people call me sammie." finally standing infront of haldir samantha looked up at him batting her lashes. "sit down?" it sounded like a weird request, however samantha herself wanted to sit. her feet were already killing her from the photoshoot and the heels she was in now werent helping. normally she would just make herself a spot on the floor, however she was wearing a short tight skirt, one that would ride up if she was to sit flat on the floor, a veiw she wasnt willing to share with the strangers. no, she wished to make haldir her personal chair, saving her from the embarresment. "please?" she finally added, knowing bossing him wouldnt help her out in any way.

This was no time for sarcasm, or was it? He wasn't sure. It was a serious situation, but then again they could use the comedic remarks, to help keep everyone at ease. Baldur exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. It wasn't as though he ad anywhere else he needed to be, but he head confined spaces. He wasn't exactly closterphobic, but he was starting to become anxious to et out.
He looked down at the red head and shook his head. "No thanks, sweetheart." He wasn't in the mood for chocolate, in fact he restarting to feel a little nauseous. He swallowed and licked his dry lips, only half hearing what Sammie had been saying to him. "Huh? Wanna repeat that, Sammie, I didn't hear you." he said, leaning back against the wall of the elevator..

"Good thinking." Reagan replied to Samantha as she suggested Reagan save the Reese peanut buttercups for later. She flashed a small smile before placing the pack of tasty treats back into her bag. It was not time to panic about their situation yet, but saving their only source of food seemed like a good idea. "I'm Reagan." She threw her name out to the group. She then glanced back and forth between Samantha and the man...apparently they knew one another. "Do you two need a room...or?..." Reagan joked, letting an amused grin cross her lips. "Hey, Tall Dude. You're the only one who hasn't stated their name." She addressed the only male in the elevator. At the moment, she wasn't impressed by her first impression of him, but she wasn't one to rant and rave about it.
